Becker's film acquisition strategy for 2006 again continued to focus on risk minimisation by not acquiring high cost mainstream titles which demand significant up front guarantees and large promotional spends, focusing on the quality end of the market.

Australasian cinema continues to be a focus of the Becker Entertainment label, with Like Minds starring Toni Collette released late in 2006 and in 2007 the highly anticipated release of December Boys to star Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter). 2007 will also see the release of the Toronto Film Festival audience hit Bonneville starring Jessica Lange, Joan Allen and Kathy Bates.
